Valentine's Day Crafts for Kids

Kids can create variety of valentine cards and gift items by their imagination. They emote their feelings freely and therefore are very transparent in their expressions with no inhibitions. You can provide them valentine theme papers, red markers, stickers and variety of embellishments to ensure they are so that you can have beautiful and inventive articles made by them.
Here is a collection of simple, beautiful heart themed activities and crafts related to kids, that are suitable for all ages from toddler to college age. Perfect for Valentine's day activities
Make easy stamp cards by painting feet and hands and stamping on some heavy paper. Use two overlapping little handprints to create a heart, then use stamp a footprint at the end (or inside the card). Top using the caption, "From the bottom of my heart to the tip of my toes, I really like you!"
Or make DIY Crayon Hearts that they'll use for colouring sessions. Simply split up crayons (also great for depleting those short ends), pop them in muffin moulds, and bake till melted. Looks extra neat if you are using multiple colours in one mould.

Love bugs - heard of these adorable critters? You just need some model magic (you may also use plasticine or even playdough) and pipe cleaners to produce your own.
Hanging paper heart garlands are pretty and far too easy to make. Just curl some strips of paper around a pencil and hang up on a string. Way too easy - but fingers need to be strong enough to grip pencils with no paper unfurling.

Or try a heart wreath constructed of pipe cleaners! You'll have to tone down the wires to size however the littlies can do the rest.

Valentine's Day isn't complete without sweet treats. Perk up ordinary lollies by making paper flowers to gift all of them with.

Mums will have to do some work pre-crafting by eliminating foam hearts and writing messages in it, but the tiny elves can take over the remainder - all they need to do is twirl a pipe cleaner around a pencil to create this cool and functional pencil toppers.

Paper cones

Paper cones comprise of thin cardboard, thin ribbon or wire, decorations and fillings for that inside of the cone. Simply roll a square piece of cardboard in one side to the other into a cone shape and stick along side it down with clear tape inside.

Your child will help you with choosing your partner’s favorite sweets, or small items which can fit inside the cone and grow it almost to the top. Then, fold over the flap. Ensure that you’ve punched a small hole at the very top of the cone and on the cone’s flap. Thread the ribbon or wire through both holes, and finished it off with a small tag and decorations.
Salt Necklaces

This fun valentine article is perfect for the children who love baking or painting. What they desire to do is to take a cup of salt, two cups of flour along with a cup of water. Mix this together; flatten it with a rolling pin, and taking advantage of heart-shaped cookie cutters, cut out the hearts. Give a hole to the top and place these within the oven to bake for 1 - 2 hours at 200 degrees.
Once cooled, you are able to paint them with water color paints or acrylic paint. Spray having a glossy acrylic sealer to ensure they are shine, and finish off with a colorful ribbon pulled with the hole of each heart. You may also use the hearts to make fridge magnets simply by gluing a small magnet towards the back of each heart.
