If you live close to the ocean or lake, pack a lunch, sunscreen, normal water and some beach toys and visit. Spend the day digging inside the sand, building sandcastles and looking out for seashells. There are all kinds of ways of interacting with nature, like planting a vegetable or flower garden together. Visit a pick-your-own fruits farm. Rather than having a picnic lunch in the brightest time of day, attempt to have a sunset picnic with a park or beach. Alternatively, get up early, pack breakfast, this will let you sunrise breakfast. Walk barefoot inside the grass and select the wildflowers, if it is allowed. Perform some cooking outside over a grill or a campfire, or perhaps toast marshmallows. Pitch a tent, possibly even in your own backyard, and sleep outside. The moon, planets and stars are nature, too.
