Easy Meals for Camping

With limited space and resources, choosing camping meals can sometimes be stressful. This is exactly why it's essential to plan camping foods before your vacation and make sure you have all needed ingredients. After some knowledge and organization, camping meals could be easy, fun and nutritious.

Camp Chili
Chili is really a well-known traditional camping food, particularly when it comes to serving large groups. Ingredients required for this meal include: vegetable oil, large diced onion, garlic, canned beef stew, chili powder, the selection of veggies, tomatoes, cornmeal, water as well as your choice of beans. First, saute onion and garlic in camping saucepan then stir in chili powder and vegetables. Add water and tomatoes, then cover and simmer over heat for around 30 minutes or until beef and veggies are tender. Combine cold water and cornmeal, then pour into boiling chili. Keep stirring. Add beans after mixture thickens, then season to taste.

Bag O' Eggs
This meal is ideal for breakfast or as a late afternoon snack for campers. You will need a zippered plastic bag, eggs, cheese, milk, salt, pepper, precooked sausage links and salsa. First, use medium-size pot and produce water to boil over camp stove or fire. Break eggs open in zippered plastic bag, add milk, pepper and salt and shake bag. Cut sausage links and add into bag. Place bag into water and cook until eggs harden. Salsa is optional.

Sizzlin' Burgers
Use pre-seasoned burger patties or season burger patties yourself both at home and bring in camping cooler. Cook on grill over hot coals for around 12 minutes, turning burgers regularly or until about medium congratulations. Use buns and choice of condiments. Cheese constitutes a great addition. According to the American Camping Association website, all prep for burgers can be achieved at home, but keep in mind burgers could keep on ice for only about 2 days.

Spicy Mac N Cheese
This recipe is probably one of the easiest for campers. You just need a package of macaroni and cheese, milk, butter, a can of tuna plus some diced chilies. Prepare macaroni and cheese in campfire stove using milk and butter per directions on back of box. Stir in tuna after draining, and mix chilies. The more boxes of mac and cheese, the greater campers you are able to serve.
